The pages here describe how things generally work: how a WFOE is registered, how the 1039 trade mode operates, how a zone incentive is structured, what a work permit involves. General is the operative word. Your outcome depends on facts specific to you that this site cannot know, your sector, your ownership structure, your documents, your history, and the correct answer for your situation may differ from the general one described here. Nothing on this site creates a professional relationship or an entitlement to rely on it as advice.

Where we can, we source and date the facts we state, because the rules governing a China setup change and a figure that was correct at the last review may have moved. A last reviewed date appears on the content pages for exactly that reason. Even so, you should confirm anything that matters to a decision against a current primary source or with us directly about your specific case, rather than treating a general page as settled law for your circumstances.

Bureaus and banks decide, not this firm

A recurring theme across this site, and it belongs here too, is that the outcomes that matter are decided by government bodies and banks, not by us. Whether a licence issues, an account opens, a permit is granted or an incentive applies is a decision of the relevant authority or institution. We advise, prepare and accompany, and doing those well improves your odds and your speed, but we do not decide and we do not guarantee. No statement anywhere on this site should be read as a promise of a particular outcome or timeline.

This includes the specific compliance boundaries stated elsewhere: we do not provide invitation letters for visa applications, and we do not represent that we can influence or expedite any administrative decision through relationships. Those are not marketing positions, they are firm limits, and they are consistent with everything on this site and with the terms of engagement.
